Because of this the bottoms are narrower and standard mini muffin papers don't go all the way in to rest on the bottoms. This causes the cakes to come out kind of squashed looking with not quite flat bottoms. If you don't use paper liners, I suppose these pans will work fine for you. So I bought this 24-cup pan and I really like it. The nonstick is great; the muffin pop out of the tin easily when they're done and clean up is easy too. Really, I paid almost the same for the smaller pan, but this one is much better.
